A Panther Creek student earned first place and two Reedy students placed second in their categories at the Educators Rising contest.

Three Frisco ISD students earned national recognition this summer at the Educators Rising National Conference and Competition, bringing home top awards for their performance in the prestigious event.

The competition brought together aspiring educators from across the country to showcase their skills and knowledge in various education-related categories. All three Frisco ISD students who attended placed in their respective contests.

Ellen Jeong, a rising senior at Panther Creek High School, earned first place in Teacher-Created Materials, while Reedy High School rising seniors Abby Valdez and Klara Bryant earned second place as a team in Varsity Interactive Bulletin Board. They qualified for the national event with top finishes at the Texas Association of Future Educators conference this spring.

“These students represented their schools, our TAFE program and our district with excellence,” said Nicky Fryman, Career and Technical Education Center teacher and Education and Training coordinator. “We are incredibly proud of how they performed at the national level.”

TAFE and Educators Rising provide Frisco ISD students the opportunity to explore future careers in teaching, develop professional skills and engage with peers and education leaders from around the country. Ellen, Abby and Klara’s performance highlights the excellence of their training in Frisco ISD, and the District celebrates these future educators’ accomplishments. Congrats!
