Two Frisco ISD schools have been designated as 2025 Schools Transforming Learning by the N2 Learning Principals’ Institute.
Boals Elementary School and principal Christina Beran, and Wilkinson Middle School and principal Jamie Rowan were recognized for making exceptional strides to provide innovative learning opportunities for all students.
"Being recognized as a School Transforming Learning is a powerful affirmation of our campus vision and dedication to create a student-centered environment where every child’s voice matters,” Beran said. “By offering students meaningful choices in their learning, nurturing leadership at every level and empowering them to take ownership of their growth, our campus is preparing students not just for academic success, but for life."
“This recognition is a testament to the dedication, creativity and heart our staff brings to school each day,” Rowan said. “At Wilkinson, we strive to create learning experiences that are not only academically rigorous but also deeply engaging and relevant to our students' lives. It’s an honor to see our work acknowledged in such a meaningful way.”

Much like their students, principals in Frisco ISD are lifelong learners. Beran, Rowan and many other Frisco ISD campus administrators are part of the N2 Learning Principals’ Institute network. The Principals’ Institute is a statewide professional learning series designed to challenge traditional thinking and empower school leaders to foster innovative learning practices.
Since 2017, over 85 campuses have earned the Schools Transforming Learning distinguished designation. Four Frisco ISD have been honored: Boals and Wilkinson this year, Minett Elementary in 2023 and Pearson Middle in 2022.
