et’s give a big shout-out to Alejandra Castillo from Isbell Elementary and Marina Jahuey from Frisco High School, Frisco ISD’s April Standing Ovation Award winners!
Each month, Frisco ISD highlights outstanding non-instructional staff members who truly embody the District’s core values.
Deputy Superintendent Dr. Todd Fouche personally visited Alejandra and Marina to recognize their incredible contributions and the meaningful impact they make every single day.
The District is proud to celebrate their commitment, leadership and the steadfast support they provide to students and staff!
Alejandra Castillo - Data Clerk, Isbell Elementary School
Alejandra’s co-workers call her the heart of Isbell Elementary — and it’s easy to see why. She’s a steady source of kindness, support and initiative, making a daily impact on students, families and staff.
Alejandra has a natural ability to connect with students, living out Frisco ISD’s mission of knowing every child by name and need. Her warm morning greetings set a positive tone for the day, and she goes the extra mile to ensure new families feel welcome — offering tours, gathering materials and sharing helpful resources.
Her bilingual skills allow her to create an inclusive space where families feel seen and supported, and she’s equally helpful to staff. Whether she’s covering lunch duty, helping with dismissal or simply asking, “How can I help?,” Alejandra is always ready to step up.
Her coworkers say she leads with kindness, and it shows. For all the big and small ways she makes Isbell better, Alejandra is more than deserving of a Standing Ovation.
Marina Jahuey - Custodian, Frisco High School
Marina’s co-workers describe her as welcoming, helpful and consistently positive — someone who brings warmth and reliability to Frisco High School every single day. Always ready to step in, Marina works hard to ensure the campus feels like home for everyone who walks through its doors.
She’s quick to respond to any need, no matter the time of day, and is committed to maintaining a clean, safe and supportive learning environment. Whether it’s early mornings, late nights or weekends, Marina is there — quietly working behind the scenes to support students and staff.
Her team shares that Marina genuinely cares about everyone on campus, and it shows in her dedication and work ethic. She regularly goes above and beyond, willingly covering multiple shifts and assisting with special events without hesitation.
Marina’s selflessness, commitment and positive spirit leave a lasting impression on the Frisco High community. For all the ways she goes above and beyond — often without recognition — Marina is truly deserving of the Standing Ovation Award.
