Frisco ISD invites families with students who will be new for the 2025-26 school year to register online starting Tuesday, Feb. 11. This includes families moving to Frisco ISD, registering incoming kindergartners or re-enrolling former students.
Parents of current students, including those enrolled in the FISD prekindergarten program, will receive invitation emails to register for the 2025-26 school year in April.
Also starting April 1, Frisco ISD will begin registering qualifying 4-year-olds for 2025-26 pre-K. Find out more about pre-K eligibility requirements.
The online enrollment process requires parents of new students provide the following:
Last report card or unofficial transcript (high school)
Driver’s license of enrolling parent
In FISD, students are assigned to schools based on where they live. Students may opt to attend another campus by utilizing the school transfer process or enrolling in one of the District’s Schools and Programs of Choice.
Enrollment for the current school year is ongoing. Visit this page to register if your child will start school before May 21, 2025, the last day of the 2024-25 school year.
New student transfer window
The District has added a transfer period for new students only, not for current students.
New K-8 students enrolling in Frisco ISD who submit an enrollment application and indicate their interest in applying for a transfer can apply for an in-District transfer Feb. 17-28.
New enrollment applications received after Feb. 28 will attend their assigned campus.
Once an in-District transfer has been approved, a student in good standing may remain at the assigned campus for the duration of the grade levels available at that campus. In-District transfers are a privilege; learn about District-initiated transfer withdrawals.
Nelson Middle School has reached capacity and is closed to new students enrolling for the 2025-26 school year. In this situation, new students attend a nearby campus with transportation provided by FISD.
