Congrats to the FISD performers and technicians who participated in the UIL One-Act Play and Theatrical Design Competitions.
Middle school theater students had their time in the spotlight at the recent District-level UIL One-Act Play and Theatrical Design Competitions.
Six schools advanced from the Frisco ISD middle school UIL One-Act Play Zone Contests to compete at the District level Feb. 15 at Wakeland High School.
Middle school UIL One-Act Play is a competitive event in which students perform a one-act play within a limited time frame. Participating schools select and prepare a play, including actors, technical theater students, alternates and production staff. The performances are judged by a panel of theater professionals who select schools for advancement.
“The dedicated theater teachers of Frisco ISD have created incredible opportunities for students to excel,” said Cade Butler, fine arts coordinator. “I am so proud of their hard work and the passion they bring to elevating theater education in Frisco ISD.”
