Nearly eight years after receiving voter approval, the Frisco ISD Visual and Performing Arts Center is ready for the big reveal in a series of student preview performances.
From May 12-19, the VPAC will host daily performances from across the District’s fine arts programs, including theater productions, band and orchestra concerts, choir showcases, dance performances and visual art open houses.
Tickets are free, but seats are limited. Reserve your tickets now.
Each event will showcase the depth of Frisco ISD’s visual and performing arts programs, while giving students the opportunity to perform on a professional-level stage. Groups were selected to perform in recognition of their award-winning success in state and national competitions over the past decade.
“This center reflects a community investment in Frisco ISD students and their creative futures,” said Pete Hazzard, managing director of fine arts. “It will provide a stage where their hard work and artistry can truly shine, while also bringing our community together to celebrate the importance of a quality fine arts education. We can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
The weeklong preview performances will lead up to a Saturday evening showcase featuring collaborative groups from across Frisco ISD — a finale that will underscore the District’s commitment to excellence in fine arts and the collective talent of its students.
