Panther Creek Baseball Team

It was a tough finish for the Panther Creek baseball team, but an amazing season.

The Panthers lost 5-2 to Brock on Saturday in Game 3 of their best-of-3 series in the 4A Division II state semifinals. Panther Creek finished the season with a 36-5 record and as the Region 2 champions.

“We’re disappointed right now, but I’m excited for the season we’ve had,” coach Larry Edgemon told The Dallas Morning News. “Thirty-six wins. That’s rare air. We’re one of the last four teams standing in the state.”

Panther Creek battled until the end in the deciding game at Eagle Mountain High School. The Panthers trailed 5-0 entering the final inning, but scored two runs and brought the tying run to the plate. Brock made a nice defensive play to end the game.

Panther Creek made it to the state semifinals in just its fourth varsity season. The Panthers are the third Frisco ISD baseball team to make it to the state semifinals in the last five seasons, joining Reedy (2023) and Wakeland (2022).

Congratulations to Panther Creek on the great season!
