Frisco ISD CCO Nicole Lyons

Frisco ISD is pleased to announce that Nicole Lyons has been selected to serve our schools and community as chief communications officer. Lyons brings more than 13 years of school communications experience and will lead the District’s communications, media relations, marketing and community relations efforts.

“Nicole brings extensive communications experience, a collaborative leadership style and a deep commitment to public education,” Superintendent Dr. Todd Fouche said. “She understands the importance of building trust through strong relationships and clear communication, and we are excited to welcome her to Frisco ISD.”

Lyons most recently served as executive director of communications in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. Prior to that, she held communications leadership roles in Keller ISD and worked in communications and public relations for educational organizations including Lewisville ISD Education Foundation and the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She is also active in many professional and civic organizations, including serving as the North Central vice president for the Texas School Public Relations Association.

Lyons’ roots in public education run deep. She is the daughter of Kerry and Shelia Antwine, two long-time public school educators who retired from Frisco ISD. She is married to Tim Lyons, an assistant principal in Azle ISD. Their two children also attend public schools.

“I am incredibly honored to be selected for this important role and excited to serve the Frisco ISD community,” Lyons said. "Having watched my parents finish their long careers as educators right here in Frisco ISD, I have a firsthand appreciation for how special this district truly is. I look forward to building on that foundation, partnering with our schools and community, and proudly telling the remarkable stories of FISD.”

Lyons will officially join Frisco ISD on July 13.
