The Frisco ISD Board of Trustees has approved the 2026-27 District Improvement Plan, establishing the priorities that will guide the District's work during the upcoming school year.
As part of the 2026-27 District Improvement Plan, the Board adopted the following District goals:
The District will strengthen grading, feedback and instructional expectations to ensure campuses align their practices with the District’s standards of mastery and student accountability.
The District will strengthen engagement in programs, pathways and learning experiences that prepare students for postsecondary success while developing the skills and habits necessary for long-term success in an evolving world.
The District will strengthen organizational effectiveness by implementing strategies that increase efficiency, clarify expectations, strengthen professional support and empower staff with effective tools and decision-making autonomy.
Leaders developed the District Improvement Plan as part of FISD’s Dynamic Organizational Strategy, which allows the District to continuously evaluate needs and respond to changing conditions. This continuous improvement process, an alternative to a static long-term strategic plan, uses a local accountability system to ensure the District is aligned with community needs.
Public feedback is key to Frisco ISD decision-making, and the 2026-27 strategic goals and priorities reflect that importance. During workshops, the Board reviewed feedback from stakeholder groups, including the District Advisory Council, campus leadership teams, teacher focus groups and the community at large.
The District Improvement Plan also aligns the work of every Frisco ISD department with the Board-approved priorities and goals, helping District and campus leaders focus their time, energy and resources for targeted improvement over the coming year.
Progress will be monitored throughout the school year through the District's local accountability system, ensuring ongoing evaluation and transparency while keeping the focus on creating future-ready learning experiences for every student.
