State accountability rating

Frisco ISD is proud to celebrate another school year as the largest A-rated school district in the state of Texas.

The District has earned a 91 in the state’s 2025-26 A-F accountability ratings, a one-point increase over the previous year and a reflection of the intentional, individualized work being done with all students District-wide.

While Frisco ISD celebrates these ratings, the District also recognizes that standardized tests cannot fully measure the work of a school district. This is why Frisco ISD implemented a local accountability system, which recognizes and reports on educational outcomes beyond state tests through the lens of the Future-Ready Framework.

“Accountability matters, but a rating or test score can’t tell the whole story of what happens in our schools,” said Superintendent Dr. Todd Fouche. “We’re proud of the progress we’ve made, and we’ll keep listening, learning and making thoughtful changes to make sure every student has the support and opportunities they need to thrive.”

Frisco ISD leaders put together annual Campus and District Improvement Plans, with results compiled in the District Accountability Report. The 2026 report is now available.

The 2025-26 state accountability ratings reflect the continued commitment of Frisco ISD to academic excellence. As the District celebrates this achievement, it will continue using both state results and the Future-Ready Framework to ensure every student is prepared for what comes next.

Understanding the grades

The A-F accountability system gives school districts and campuses four grades — Overall, Student Achievement, School Progress and Closing the Gaps.

  • Student Achievement. Performance across all subjects for all students, on both general and alternate assessments; College, Career and Military Readiness indicators; and graduation rates

  • School Progress. District and campus outcomes in two areas: the percentage of students who grew at least one year academically as measured by STAAR results, and the achievement of all students relative to districts or campuses with similar economically disadvantaged percentages

  • Closing the Gaps. Demonstrates differentials among racial/ethnic groups, socioeconomic backgrounds and other factors, aligning the state accountability system with the Every Student Succeeds Act.
