Ever wonder how the school year calendar comes together? Have feedback on the career and technical education courses? And what about the legislative priorities shared with Texas lawmakers — who comes up with those?
All of these decisions and more are developed in District committees, one of the best and most direct ways that community members can influence the policies, priorities and operations of Frisco ISD.
Applications to join District committees are open now through Aug. 31.
A single application will determine placement on the District Advisory Council, which serves as the umbrella advisory body for Frisco ISD. All individuals selected for the DAC serve in an advisory capacity to FISD leadership and the Board of Trustees, and their recommendations help shape Board decisions.
Did you know? 337 people served on Frisco ISD committees in 2025-26. That’s
110 employees
123 parents
17 non-parent community members
87 students
