Applications are open now for FISD Insight, a comprehensive, behind-the-scenes look at Frisco ISD operations. Members of each FISD Insight class come away with a complete understanding of the District, from academics and fine arts to transportation and technology and more. They will hear from department leaders as well as current Frisco ISD students, and have a chance to ask questions. Classes, which are held once or twice a month, will be hosted at various District facilities.

• Membership: Applicants must live within Frisco ISD boundaries, and must not be prior participants. Only one adult per household.

• A background check is required.

• Find meeting dates and times.

• Cost: $20, collected at the first class

• Apply now through Sept. 18 at 4 p.m.

Carroll teachers celebrated one another at our first staff meeting this year.

The Frisco ISD Book Bus wrapped up a busy summer schedule this month, bringing literacy fun to every corner of the District starting just days after its June completion. To give a sense of the impact, the Library and Technology Services Department shared a few impressive numbers:

• 1,322 - Books given away to children

• 100 - Miles traveled to book bus stops

• 14 - Stops made this summer

The Book Bus is gearing up for fall and will be ready to roll out an updated schedule soon. To find out when and where they will be, visit the Frisco ISD Book Bus webpage and follow along on Facebook and Instagram.

The Frisco ISD School Board is eager to hear from staff, students and community members, and there are a number of ways to share your feedback with Trustees. One method is by signing up to speak at Community Input Meetings, now scheduled for the 2026-27 school year:

• Oct. 5, 2026 - 6:30 p.m.

• Nov. 30, 2026 - 6:30 p.m.

• Feb. 22, 2027 - 6:30 p.m.

• April 26, 2027 - 6:30 p.m.

Meetings are held at the Frisco ISD Administration Building, and visitors should enter through the front doors.

Can’t be there? A recording will be available after the meeting, and Trustees also take written questions starting a week beforehand on the Community Input Meetings webpage.

In partnership with the Frisco Police Department and with student safety at the forefront, the District's Student Code of Conduct has been updated to align with the City's e-scooter policy.

Hello Carroll family! I am absolutely thrilled to be joining you this year. I bring 18 wonderful years of teaching experience from Garland ISD, and I am so happy to now call Frisco my home after moving here this summer! Family is everything to me—I have two amazing boys: Adan, who is currently thriving at UNT, and Alex, who is about to start his own new adventure at Cobb Middle School. I can't wait to get to know all of the incredible students and families here at Carroll. Let’s make it a fantastic year together!

Hi! My name is Elena Martos and I am thrilled to be joining Carroll as a 1st Grade Bilingual Teacher. I am originally from Spain and have dedicated more than 10 years to teaching in the Dallas area.

Working with young children is truly my passion. I love helping students grow in confidence, discover new ideas, and develop a love of learning in both English and Spanish. I am especially excited to be part of a community that values bilingualism and cultural diversity.

When I am not teaching, you can usually find me reading a good book or enjoying a great cup of coffee. I can't wait to meet my students and families and begin this exciting new chapter at Carroll!
