Frisco ISD’s many talented artists step into the spotlight during the District’s yearlong series of vertical art shows.
Students’ works are chosen by campus art teachers to be displayed with peers from their feeder patterns. The first show opened Nov. 6, and the last show closes April 30.
The display of outstanding student visual art recognizes the hard work, growth and accomplishments of students. The District celebrates them and the dedicated teachers who helped foster a love of visual art.
“When students share their work publicly, it’s not just about showcasing skill — it’s about sharing a piece of their imagination and empowering the voices of the artists,” said Cade Butler, fine arts coordinator. “Vertical art shows provide opportunities for students to let their creativity shine while giving the community a chance to appreciate the talent being cultivated across FISD through a robust visual arts K-12 education.”
See below for the dates artwork will be displayed in the FISD Administration Building lobby, and save the date for the artist reception for each vertical art show. As the year progresses, student artwork can also be accessed in the virtual art show in the future links below.
