Over 110 Frisco ISD BPA students qualified this spring to compete at the organization’s National Leadership Conference, where 53 won top 3 awards.

Also at the NLC, Reedy High School BPA advisor Kelly Munro was reelected to serve as the BPA National Board Member-At-Large for the next three years.

Business Professionals of America is a career and technical student organization for students pursuing careers in business management, information technology, finance, office administration, health administration and other related career fields. The organization’s activities and programs complement classroom instruction by giving students practical experience by applying the skills learned at school.

The national conference brought together an estimated 6,000 competitors from across the country, Canada and China. 

BPA is among several career and technical student organizations offered in Frisco ISD, enhancing students’ TEK-based curriculum with academic competition.

The Career and Technical Education Center’s BPA chapter is open to Centennial and Emerson students. The other high school campuses have their own chapters.
