
Applications are open now for FISD Insight, a comprehensive, behind-the-scenes look at Frisco ISD operations. Members of each FISD Insight class come away with a complete understanding of the District, from academics and fine arts to transportation and technology and more. They will hear from department leaders as well as current Frisco ISD students, and have a chance to ask questions. Classes, which are held once or twice a month, will be hosted at various District facilities.
Membership: Applicants must live within Frisco ISD boundaries, and must not be prior participants. Only one adult per household.
Cost: $20, collected at the first class

Three Frisco ISD schools were recognized at the August School Board meeting for their generous donations to Frisco Family Services! Over 43,000 pounds of food representing over 36,000 meals were donated across all Frisco ISD campuses last school year, with Wakeland High School (7,050 pounds), Isbell Elementary School (2,095 pounds) and McSpedden Elementary School (1,834 pounds) as the top donors.
Current Frisco ISD students and recent graduates marched drum corps this summer, using skills developed in Frisco ISD band programs in auditions and on the competition field.

The Frisco ISD Book Bus wrapped up a busy summer schedule this month, bringing literacy fun to every corner of the District starting just days after its June completion. To give a sense of the impact, the Library and Technology Services Department shared a few impressive numbers:

The Frisco ISD School Board is eager to hear from staff, students and community members, and there are a number of ways to share your feedback with Trustees. One method is by signing up to speak at Community Input Meetings, now scheduled for the 2026-27 school year:
Oct. 5, 2026 - 6:30 p.m.
Nov. 30, 2026 - 6:30 p.m.
Feb. 22, 2027 - 6:30 p.m.
April 26, 2027 - 6:30 p.m.
Meetings are held at the Frisco ISD Administration Building, and visitors should enter through the front doors.
Can’t be there? A recording will be available after the meeting, and Trustees also take written questions starting a week beforehand on the Community Input Meetings webpage.

In partnership with the Frisco Police Department and with student safety at the forefront, the District's Student Code of Conduct has been updated to align with the City's e-scooter policy.

Congratulations to Frisco ISD high school art students and teachers on an incredible showing at the state Visual Art Scholastic Event in April! Of the 68 pieces Frisco ISD sent to the state competition, nine students won Gold Seals and 60 earned medals.
