Staff, students, parents and community members selected to serve on District committees for the 2026-27 school year were notified this week following approval by the Board of Trustees at its regular September meeting. Each committee is part of the larger District Advisory Council, which provides feedback to the Board on District initiatives, goals, programs and compliance-related matters. The District is grateful for everyone who volunteered their time and interest to serve.
Calendar Committee: As work begins on the 2027-28 instructional calendar, Frisco ISD is first soliciting stakeholder feedback to guide the District’s calendar committee. The 2027-28 Instructional Calendar Survey is open Sept. 17-Oct. 2. Access the survey.
Bond Planning Committee: FISD is exploring a possible spring 2027 bond, starting with formation of a Bond Planning Committee. Applications are open through Friday, Sept. 25. Apply online.

Happy First Day of Fall! Our staff celebrated the start of the season with a sweet treat—build-your-own caramel apple nachos! Nothing says fall quite like apples, caramel, and all the toppings. A sweet way to welcome a new season at Scoggins! 🍎🍂
Learning around the world in Spanish 2! Our students collaborated in groups to create posters highlighting Latin American countries and then participated in a gallery walk to learn from one another.

Today, our Green Team hosted our first Minute to Win It Challenge of the year, putting an eco-friendly spin on a favorite with Recycling Trashketball! 🌎💙
Our Seahawks brought the energy, teamwork, and friendly competition as they put their recycling skills to the test! What a fun way to build community while reminding everyone that taking care of our campus and our planet is something we can all be a part of.
