We are focused on impacting student engagement and there was not shortage of it last week! Check out what students have been doing in classes:

* Ms. Cook's 6th grade classes participated in station rotations to review plot elements.
* Ms. Combs's 8th grade ILA classes using their critical thinking skills to decide if their answer choice is correct with the Lead4Ward strategy - Yes, No, Maybe So.
* Students in Coach Caballero's Leadworthy class gave "All About Me" speeches.

We are growing future ready learners and leaders!

Applications are open now for FISD Insight, a comprehensive, behind-the-scenes look at Frisco ISD operations. Members of each FISD Insight class come away with a complete understanding of the District, from academics and fine arts to transportation and technology and more. They will hear from department leaders as well as current Frisco ISD students, and have a chance to ask questions. Classes, which are held once or twice a month, will be hosted at various District facilities.

Wednesday was the first day for our RISE time selections. Students are given agency to choose where they would like to go if they are caught up on all work and passing all classes. These students chose the board and card games room hosted by Mrs. Hughes. A good brain break for so many of our hard working students while still practicing future-ready skills such a collaboration, communication, and responding.
